First Donation for Festival Comes In!

Updated: Sep 28, 2022

The Durham 2029 MBF Festival hasn't even been officially launched yet and we already have had our first donation, confirming the enthusiasm Durham Mark Masons have for charity!

At the recent installation meeting of Ernest Dixon Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.1015 at Sunderland, the now W Bro John Cox was installed in the Chair for the first time. In attendance was W Bro Wayne Rumley, Provincial Grand Senior Warden, acting as the representative to the Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge (who was also there!) who gratefully received a cheque for £250 towards the Festival - the first small step towards us achieving our target. W Bro Wayne thanked the members of Ernest Dixon Lodge for their contribution, further informing them that with this donation, they had officially kickstarted the charitable drive of the Festival; it being the first Lodge donation to be received.

We are on our way, brethren! Let's hope it's the first of many!
